Royal Charity Breaks Ties with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Over Shocking Outburst

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan Faces Fallout as Royal Charity Ends Association

In a shocking turn of events, the British Asian Trust, established by King Charles III, has officially severed its ties with renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. The decision comes in the wake of a clandestinely recorded video that surfaced on social media, depicting Khan engaging in physical violence against an individual he later identified as his student.

The trust, in a statement issued over the weekend, revealed that it had meticulously reviewed the disturbing video before making the decision to disassociate from Khan. A spokesperson emphasized the trust's unwavering commitment to a strict policy against abusive behavior and condemned any form of violence, regardless of the circumstances.

"Accusations of abuse are taken seriously, and we will be investigating this matter urgently," stated the trust's spokesperson.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, appointed as an ambassador for the British Asian Trust in 2017 by then-Prince Charles, found himself at the center of controversy when the video went viral. The footage, apparently captured surreptitiously, depicted Khan physically assaulting a man he claimed was his student. The singer was seen slapping, punching, yanking the individual by the hair, and tossing him to the ground while angrily demanding the location of his "bottle."

In response to the public outrage, Khan defended himself, asserting that the bottle in question contained water blessed by a spiritual leader, known as a pir. He characterized the incident as a private matter between him and his student. Khan identified the student as Naveed Hasnain and acknowledged the disciplinary actions, stating, "The relationship between a teacher and student is such that when he does well, we give him that much love, and when he does wrong, we punish him."

Hasnain, in a series of Instagram videos, corroborated Khan's account, explaining that the bottle contained sacred water and that he had forgotten its location at the time of the incident. He defended Khan, portraying the video as an attempt to blackmail and defame the singer. Hasnain denied any abuse, expressing gratitude for Khan's love and claiming that Khan had sought forgiveness immediately after the physical altercation.

Despite these claims, the British Asian Trust remains steadfast in its decision to cut ties with Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, emphasizing the gravity of its commitment to a zero-tolerance policy against abusive conduct. The incident has sparked widespread discussions on the dynamics of teacher-student relationships and the ethical responsibilities of public figures.

As the controversy unfolds, the British Asian Trust's decisive action underscores the importance of upholding principles of non-violence and ethical behavior within the realm of public associations. The investigation into this incident is expected to shed more light on the truth behind the viral video and its implications for the individuals involved.
